Mr. Channa Wijesekara is an incorporated civil engineer, alumni of University of Moratuwa (UoM) and an award winning, accomplished entrepreneur. He is a founding member of ECSL. He also is the incumbent President of the Wood Based Industrialists Association of Sri Lanka. Mr. Wijesekara is a scholar who has written several valuable books on ‘Wood Technology’ during his illustrative career. His experience in the industry is over 40 years and thus, can be categorically named as one of the best Wood Technologists in Sri Lanka. He obtained most of his technical knowledge initially through an educational stint in Germany and later in other countries as well. Channa Wijesekara’s experience and acquaintance to the wood sector as a student, trainee, trainer, educator, curriculum writer and administrator finally made him successful and an acclaimed entrepreneur as the founder of Leema.
